The process of moving… (Part 1)

As I have blogged, I am moving at the end of November.  I am excited to move into a new place in a new area of the city, it will get me to become familiar with another quadrant of Calgary.  I am not excited about packing and unpacking.  The actual move process itself isn’t so bad.  Load the truck, unload the truck.  If you have a few volunteers, it is an easy process.

I guess in the packing process I will be able to get rid of some stuff that I don’t need.  I know I have a couple of boxes here that have not been opened and unpacked in the two years that I have been here, so, they will go.  Maybe I will have a garage sale next Spring, who knows…

I will need to get additional boxes, likely from U-Haul.  I had some bankers boxes the last move that I borrowed from work, not sure if I will be able to do that again or not.  I will borrow the tape gun though, for sure.  I have a fair amount of stuff to pack up.

I am moving on a Saturday, I am hoping for good weather.  It can snow if it has to, as long as it isn’t raining, that makes it miserable.

So, does anyone out there want to help?

If you are looking for good deals on moving boxes you should try and contact Budget Box Guy at 403-6797-1000. He has a wide variety of both new and used boxes that are usually the best priced in town. Also you can have a look at this blog link to avoid some key packing mistakes and have a look at the rest of the blog for moving and packing tips.
